Incentives to Invest in Portugal

Portugal has been going through a major change in recent years, no longer a small isolated country in Europe, to become the consumer desire of Europeans, Asians, Brazilians and more recently Americans.

Tourism does not stop growing, passing 27 million visitors in 2019, of which more than 15 million are foreigners.

According to the print edition of Jornal de Negócios, last year the estimated direct impact on the Portuguese economy was over €15 Billion.

In 2019 Portugal won 39 awards at the World Travel Awards and was consecutively chosen as Europe's top destination in 2017, 2018 and 2019.

It was ranked 2nd (2018-2019) in the Global Residence Program Index which considers Portugal one of the best Visa programs in the world.

Portugal was also one of the most successful countries in fighting the global pandemic that started in 2020, with a mortality rate of only 3%.

Portugal is considered the safest country in Europe and one of the safest in the world.
